First season of Broadway Theatre gets into full swing!

Two months ago today, the Broadway Theatre opened its doors for the first time for a wonderful performance of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice (I can’t believe it’s been two months already!.) With a number of great shows still to come as part of the first season, our Creative Programmer Sue Scott Davison tells us more about what we have to look forward to.

Hi all,

Have you ever imagined yourself on a Broadway stage? Now's your chance...

As the Broadway Theatre prepares to open its doors for its first season, our very own Sue Scott Davison tells us more about an exciting opportunity for Letchworth’s aspiring performers.

Sue here, Creative Programmer for the Broadway Theatre. We are very excited to be opening the Broadway Theatre next month and are already thinking about how we can give local groups and artistes the opportunity to take to the stage.

A busy 2016 and cinema ticket price increase

Venues Manager, Jason Valentine, recaps on a busy year for the Broadway, and updates us on changes to the cinema ticket prices from 1 January 2017.

You may already know me, Jason Valentine, I am the Venues Manager for the Heritage Foundation, and you will often see me with my team at the Broadway. Well, what a year 2016 has been – we had an amazing 80th birthday celebration in August, and we want to say a big thank you to all our customers for patiently bearing with us while all the hard work has been going on behind the scenes building the new theatre.

New Theatre Production to Premiere at the Broadway Letchworth

Waiting for God, based on the popular BBC television comedy series, will receive its national premiere at the Broadway in April 2017, ahead of a national UK tour. The life-affirming story centres around two free-thinking, spirited residents of a retirement home who spend their time running rings round the home’s oppressive management and their own families.
