We all know this weather can’t last - so we’ve got a fantastic new theatre season lined up for the colder months!
Following a successful run in Letchworth last summer, Dinosaur World Live returns to Broadway, bringing to life a host of pre-historic creatures in this interactive children’s show, including the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, Giraffatitan and more.
This contributes to a great selection of shows for a younger audience throughout the season. Splash Test Dummies visit on 9 September with an hour filled with stunt work, acrobatics, juggling and slapstick comedy for the whole family to enjoy. Later on, we’ve got Dear Zoo, Stick Man and Private Peaceful - we know you’ve all heard of them!
Then at Christmas to close out the season, Santa comes to town in Santa’s New Sleigh, which includes an opportunity to meet Santa Claus himself after the show and a free gift for every child.
Continuing the trend of bringing excellent touring comedy to the town, shows from household names Seann Walsh, Phill Jupitus and Omid Djalili will be hitting the Broadway stage. Later in the season, two of Britain’s finest impressionists in Rory Bremner and Jan Ravens will bring their brand of satire to Letchworth, featuring everyone from Farage to Lumley.
This season also sees some captivating drama performances, including Merely Theatre’s interpretation of Shakespeare classic Macbeth. This theatre company create energetic yet clear Shakespeare productions, taking this famous work of literature and making it accessible and easy to understand for a modern audience.
