In the lead up to Christmas what do you look forward to the most? A mug of hot chocolate and decadent treats – getting creative with your little ones - an enchanting classical ballet - or two magical theatre shows that will get you in full swing of the festivities?
At Broadway we have all these things!
Tickets have now sold out for the event cinema screening of The Nutcracker on Tuesday 5th December. We can’t wait to see this classic Christmas adventure, danced to Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score.
Prepare for plentiful vintage festive fun on the 6th December, as The Fitzrovia Radio Hour present their rip-roaring rendition of A Christmas Carol. The Dickens classic is reimagined as a live 1940’s-style studio recording – with spectacular sound effects created live, cut-glass accents, sharp suits and of course a good helping of spooky ghosts. It’s a unique alternative Christmas entertainment!
Every second Sunday we hold Family Arts Studio at Broadway Gallery. Admission is FREE with no booking required, and activities are open to all but primarily aimed at accompanied children aged 3+ and families. We’re completely booked up for our Christmas Family Arts Day on 20th December, but you can still drop in on Sunday 10th December where you and your budding artists can create a Christmas door decoration and cards, then relax in the Café Bar with a piece of cake as reward.
And finally, we have the magical Dear Santa on the 11th-13th December. A perfect Christmas treat for children aged 2 to 7 years old – and their parents too! We’ll see Santa trying to get little Sarah the perfect Christmas gift, with help from his elf and the audience of course! Everyone will get to meet Santa Claus himself who will be bringing presents for the audience too.
So there’s plenty of entertainment for everyone – we hope to see you soon and have a Merry Christmas!
