We are looking forward to welcoming you back to our big screens on 24 August. We will have new measures in place to ensure Broadway is COVID-19 secure. We have met the government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and have been certified as ready to open Broadway Cinema to the public.

In line with the current government guidelines face coverings must be worn when watching a movie but can be removed when eating and drinking. Children under the age of eleven and those with mental or physical impairments do not have to wear face coverings.
Please respect other customers and make sure you are socially distancing around the cinema.
ONE WAY SYSTEM
We have a one-way system around the building. Floor markers will guide you and will remind you to keep two metres apart when queuing outside and at the counters. At the end of films in screen 1, 2 and 3 you will exit via the fire exit.
Staff will be putting in place extra cleaning measures to ensure that counters, worksurfaces and door handles are sanitised regularly.
We will be regularly disinfecting our cinema screens, including chairs and the auditorium,using a fogging machine.
Broadway Cinema is well ventilated, and we will be ensuring there is a flow of fresh air into our cinema screens. We have also thoroughly cleaned our ventilation system so that it is sanitised.
HAND SANITISERS & HAND WASHING
All toilets will be stocked with anti-bacterial hand soap and hand washing guidelines will be in place for all employees. In addition, there will be hand-sanitising stations throughout the cinema.
Customers must book their tickets in advance on our website. To minimise contact, tickets will then be scanned either via printed copy of the ticket or a QR code on your phone. Following the latest Government guidelines customers can buy a maximum of 6 tickets per transaction.
SOCIALLY DISTANCED SEATING
Our online booking system has been updated so that social distancing can be maintained whilst you are seated watching the film.
STAGGERED SCREEN TIMES
Film times will be staggered so the customers will not cross paths as they enter or exit the film. There will be a one-way system in place and customers will need to exit the film screen through the fire exit. Entry back into the foyer will not be permitted.
Plastic safety screens have been installed on our concession counters, where social distancing cannot be maintained, to keep staff and customers safe.
We will be accepting contactless payments only at our tills.
You will still be able to buy concessions from our counters, but all drinks, sweets and popcorn will be sold in sealed packaging.
In line with recent updates to government restrictions, we will not be selling alcohol. Soft drinks and food will still be on offer to buy, but customers will be asked to consume food and drink whilst seated in our auditoria.
STAFF TRAINING & PPE
All our staff will be on hand to assist customers and make them feel safe. We have worked with the UK Cinema association to ensure that our employees will receive COVID-19 awareness training and PPE will be worn where our risk assessment has highlighted that it will be required.
COVID-19 CONTACT TRACING
Your details will be recorded when you book your tickets and we will be in contact if any cases of Coronavirus are reported.
From Thursday 24 September customers will also be asked to ‘check in’ to Broadway Cinema using the Covid-19 NHS app. This is so the government can notify you if a case of Coronavirus has been recorded at a venue you have visited. Following the government’s announcement and introduction of a curfew for pubs, bars and hospitality venues, we have updated our timetable of films so that all screenings finish before 10pm.

What safety measures have been put into place?
We have followed government guidelines and put in several safety measures to make you feel comfortable at Broadway Cinema. We have increased the frequency and level of cleaning throughout the building. We have staggered film times, distanced seating and a one-way system to ensure that customers can keep their distance from each other. Payments and tickets should be contactless, face coverings will be worn inside the cinema and hand sanitising stations have been installed.
How many tickets can I book?
At present the maximum number of tickets per transaction is 6 in line with government guidelines. If you are a single household of more than 6 people please contact us at broadway@letchworth to discuss your booking.
Will the toilets be open?
Yes, the toilets will be open, but we ask customers to maintain social distancing and wear their face coverings whilst queuing. Toilets will be cleaned after every film, we will use special strength sanitiser and stock with anti-bacterial soap.
Will face coverings be mandatory?

Will Broadway Cinema be supporting the Covid-19 Contact Tracing schemes?
Yes, your details will be recorded when you book your tickets and we will be in contact if any cases of Coronavirus are reported. Data will be stored in line with our data protection policy, which can be found here.
We will also be supporting the use of the Covid-19 NHS app and ask customers to check in to the Broadway Cinema by scanning the QR code on posters displayed around the cinema. Will food and drink be available to purchase?
You will be able to buy food and drink from our concessions counter. All popcorn and sweets will be served in sealed bags and we will only be accepting contactless payment.
We will not be selling alcohol for the time being and ask all customers to consume food and drink whilst seated in our auditoria.
Can I book tickets using my Broadway Plus points?

What films will be showing at the Broadway Cinema?
We look forward to showing an exciting programme including the latest blockbusters, event cinema and kids club screenings. We will aim to bring back documentaries and independent films as soon as possible. Keep an eye on our opening programme as this will include a film week that focuses on diversity within the industry.
Will I need to print off my ticket?
We are trying to limit as much contact as possible so please print off your ticket or bring a copy on your phone for us to scan.
