“Every turn is a bit of a surprise”: Kate Terry: A System of Parallels opens at the Gallery
Broadway Gallery’s new exhibition opened on the evening of Thursday 8 February, to a gathering of local artists, friends of the artist Kate Terry and frequent visitors to the Gallery.
Guests were greeted by geometric sculptures in shades of blue, green, pink and yellow, with glints of brass; delicate drawings with pops of colour; and a striking thread installation, with hundreds of threads criss-crossing the space, each tied to a tiny pin.

Spring into our next Theatre season!
As we head into 2018 it’s time for us to start looking at the upcoming season for Spring. With 14 shows running from February to May and a line-up of famous comedians, live music, drama, children’s classics and new productions from old favourites, this fourth season at Broadway Theatre cements the venue as a leading attraction within the area.
It’s nearly a year since we re-opened as Broadway Cinema & Theatre, following the major refurbishment works in 2016. We hope many of you have visited our new Theatre and enjoyed the improved facilities in the venue.
The costs of running Broadway continue to rise, and so from 1 January 2018 we are slightly increasing some of our ticket prices. Weekday cinema tickets (Monday to 5pm Friday) will increase by 50p, to £6.50. Event cinema tickets will increase by £1 (for screenings announced from 1 January 2018).
In the lead up to Christmas what do you look forward to the most? A mug of hot chocolate and decadent treats – getting creative with your little ones - an enchanting classical ballet - or two magical theatre shows that will get you in full swing of the festivities?
At Broadway we have all these things!
Ugly Duckling - bullied for being different
By Pippa Roy-Chowdhury, Aspects
The Ugly Duckling is a wonderful, heart-warming story of a little chick who finds happiness when he is finally accepted for being himself and learns that he is just as valued as the other birds around him. However, he has a tough journey along the way and meets with some unfriendly characters.
We caught up with Gordon, one of the key members of our Cinema & Theatre team…
