Join us on Thursday 4th September at 7.45pm at Broadway Cinema & Theatre for a special Q&A with award-winning writer and director Douglas Tawn as part of the Coming of Age Festival.
Based in Baldock, Douglas co-directed his debut feature film Loner alongside long-time collaborator Charlie Robb. Premiering at the prestigious Raindance Film Festival in 2025, Loner has already gained critical acclaim, winning Best Feature Film at The British Horror Film Festival, Best Director at NÒT Film Festival, and Best Film at Black Sunday Film Festival.
Douglas began his creative career at Cambridge University, directing and performing comedy productions that toured both the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and London theatres. Alongside his work in film, he continues to develop radio, television and screenplay projects with Charlie, including collaborations with QITV and Various Artists Ltd. He is also an accomplished musician, contributing compositions to numerous projects and performing on BBC Radio 1 and the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds Festivals.
Following the Q&A, enjoy a screening of the classic Quadrophenia — a defining coming-of-age story that perfectly complements this year’s festival theme.
Don’t miss this unique evening of film, conversation and music culture at Broadway Cinema & Theatre.
