As part of the vibrant Letchworth Festival, we’re excited to bring you an unforgettable evening with Loner - an award-winning new British horror feature already making waves on the festival circuit.

Based in Baldock, Douglas co-directed his debut feature film Loner alongside long-time creative collaborator Charlie Robb. Since its premiere at the prestigious Raindance Film Festival in 2025, the film has earned major critical acclaim, winning Best Feature Film at The British Horror Film Festival, Best Director at NÒT Film Festival, and Best Film at Black Sunday Film Festival.

Douglas first began making his mark at Cambridge University, directing and performing in comedy productions that toured both the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and London theatres. Since then, he and Charlie have continued to develop an exciting range of radio, television, and screenplay projects, collaborating with companies including QITV and Various Artists Ltd. Alongside filmmaking, Douglas is also an accomplished musician, composing for numerous creative projects and performing on BBC Radio 1 and the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds Festivals.

The evening will include an exclusive Q&A with Douglas, offering behind-the-scenes insight into the making of Loner, followed by a special screening of the film itself.
