Coming Of Age Film Festival: September 2026 It’s not a phase. It’s a season of discovery.
Letchworth FilmClub is delighted to sponsor the Coming-of-Age Film Festival at Broadway Cinema. We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with Broadway Cinema and the Letchworth Young Programmers Group, and The Priory School Media Students to put together a varied selection of coming-of-age themed films taken from the 1960s through to the 2020s.
Experience unforgettable stories that stay with you long after the credits roll. Relieve the stories that shaped who we become or step into new discoveries of laughter, heartbreak, first loves and life-changing moments of youth all in the luxury of screen 4.
Your £5 per film ticket unlocks the full festival experience, including a free magazine created by our Young Film Programmers and Priory Media students, packed with inspiring articles exploring each coming-of-age film.
Screenings will feature a live introduction from our youth Media Studies Students and industry experts, sharing fresh insights and perspectives, and your ticket also includes free entry to our special coming-of-age photography exhibition.

About Letchworth FilmClub
Letchworth FilmClub is proud to sponsor the Coming-of-Age Film Festival at Broadway Cinema, presenting a youth-curated selection of films from the 1960s to the 2020s.
One of FilmClub’s objectives is to ‘bring quality world cinema to the local area’. We see the festival as an additional way for us to realise this goal and nurture the love of film in a wider and younger audience.
Letchworth FilmClub has been screening world cinema in the town for over 35 years. We are an organisation made up of members from the local community. Each year the Committee, made up of volunteers from the membership, schedules a season of 12 films, to be screened at Broadway Cinema between September and June. These 12 films are selected by members from a ballot of around 25 titles provided by the Committee. The voting form lists classic and critically acclaimed, recently released films from around the world that have not been shown locally.
We are very grateful to Broadway Cinema for enabling us to screen our films in the comfort of the cinema and with the support and professionalism of its staff. For more information, please email info@letchworthfilmclub.com

Developing advanced critical thinking, programming knowledge, and a deeper understanding of how cinemas curate meaningful film seasons the team share their inspiring and insightful perspectives on cinema and gain valuable experience in the world of film exhibition and cultural programming.
