Broadway is thrilled to present Don't Look Now, Nicolas Roeg's 1973 masterpiece. In addition to the screening, we will be joined by filmmaker, photographer and author Justin John Doherty to discuss his stunning new book "Don't Look Now and Then".
October 2025 will see the release of a new hardback art book, "Don't Look Now and Then", celebrating Nicolas Roeg’s seminal 1973 film. It features hundreds of previously unpublished photographs and documents, offering a fresh glimpse into the making of a masterpiece. This ultimate love letter to “Don’t Look Now”, brings together historical writing and archive, as well as new interviews with its makers and contributions from admirers of the film, including Brett Goldstein, Mark Jenkin, Reece Shearsmith, Carol Morley and Stephen Woolley.
As part of a short UK book tour, Justin John Doherty will be present for a Q&A, to discuss why he decided to independently create and finance this book – taking self-publishing to a new level. He’ll share how he became part detective in the making of it, how he got some big names involved, and how it felt to uncover some of the books rich material, most of which has remained unseen by the public until now. And then there’s the blood… but that’s a story for the event.
The book will be available on the night, online from the publisher at dontlooknowbook.com and at select independent book shops.
