Journey to Italy: Book signing with Rod Shone

We're very excited to be presenting Rod Shone's latest exhibition Miss Italy at the Broadway Cinema. The exhibition features 21 exquisite photographs from Rod's personal archive and all feature in his book Miss Italy. Rod's love affair with the country and photography was formed through William Klein's acclaimed photobook Rome and Italian neorealist films such as the Bicycle Thieves, La Strada and Rome Open City. In this collection of photographs the viewer is transported into the Italian streets that teem with daily life and echo the silver screen. To celebrate the exhibition the Broadway Cinema has a special screening of "Journey to Italy" (Viaggio in Italia) on Thursday 29 June, 8.45pm. Visitors can meet Rod ahead of the screening from 7.30pm, where they can preview the exhibition and purchase a copy of his book.
