Gareth Doyle’s Kubrick Art Exhibition Launches at Broadway Cinema & Theatre Sunday 28th June
Join us for a very special evening at the Broadway Cinema & Theatre, Letchworth on Sunday 28th June as we celebrate the launch of the Gareth Doyle Art Exhibition as part of the exciting KUBRICK SEASON at Letchworth Festival.
Acclaimed Hertfordshire artist and illustrator Gareth Doyle, whose striking cinematic artwork has captivated audiences with its bold storytelling and stunning detail, will be in attendance to discuss his work and creative process.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet Gareth himself, explore his beautiful exhibition in the bar area, and immerse themselves in artwork inspired by some of cinema’s most iconic moments.
Included within the exhibition is Gareth's loving tribute to the work of Stanley Kubrick. The artwork honours the haunting beauty, psychological intensity, and meticulous visual composition that define Kubrick’s filmmaking.
The evening reaches its perfect conclusion with a screening of The Shining in the luxury comfort of Screen 4, a film whose eerie symmetry, unforgettable visuals, and unsettling atmosphere resonate deeply with Gareth's cinematic style and artistic vision.
The bar opens from 7:30pm, giving guests time to view the exhibition and soak up the atmosphere before a short introduction at 8:00pm. The screening of Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining begins at 8:15pm in the luxury surroundings of Screen 4. Mentored by Broadway Cinema & Theatre, the group selects, discusses, and presents films that matter. In doing so, they develop critical thinking, programming skills, and a deeper understanding of how cinemas shape meaningful cultural seasons and present iconic films in new ways.
